About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs (AVPAA) to join their team of innovators and world changers. The AVPAA will serve as a senior administrative leader within Academic Affairs, providing academic leadership, cross-unit coordination, and strategic execution. This role is pivotal in translating institutional academic priorities into aligned and measurable practices, with a focus on improving consistency, academic quality, and student outcomes. The successful candidate will lead the coordination of academic affairs priorities, oversee policy workflows, and ensure the integrity of academic processes. Additionally, the AVPAA will be responsible for academic quality processes, including program review and assessment cycles, and will provide leadership for academic components of student success efforts. Applicants for the AVPAA position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of experience in academic affairs or higher education administration, with a strong background in leading complex academic programs. A doctorate or terminal degree from a regionally accredited institution is required. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in academic operations, policy, and governance structures, as well as experience in leading cross-functional projects and managing teams. The AVPAA will be expected to partner with various units to align academic and co-curricular strategies, support shared student outcomes, and provide strategic oversight of faculty development efforts.
