About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director for its nationally recognized center dedicated to advancing substance use disorder care. The successful candidate will be a visionary, strategic, and collaborative leader, responsible for setting clear strategic priorities, leading operations, and serving as the primary representative of the center. This role is pivotal in ensuring the center's work is coordinated, scalable, and delivers measurable improvements in care and outcomes. The Executive Director will also be instrumental in convening stakeholders, advancing innovation, and supporting the implementation of evidence-based practices to strengthen the quality of care, advance equity, reduce stigma, and expand access to care for patients and communities. Applicants for the Executive Director position must hold a clinical doctoral degree and be eligible for appointment at the associate or full professor level. Significant leadership experience in academic medicine or integrated health systems, as well as deep expertise in substance use disorder care, are essential. The role requires a candidate who can lead the center through a period of transition, with a focus on influencing addiction care across the full continuum, from clinical delivery to population health and value-based care. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in multidisciplinary training, technical assistance programs, research, evaluation, and policy engagement at local, state, and federal levels. Close partnership with clinical, academic, and community leaders is a key aspect of the role, and the Executive Director will be expected to work within a complex, matrixed enterprise to achieve the center's mission.
