About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice Chancellor and Executive Director to lead the strategic development and long-term evolution of its San Francisco campus. This role is pivotal in establishing the company's presence within a leading center for creativity and innovation, with a focus on educating artists, architects, and designers to excel in the age of technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating the company's vision into operational, academic, and engagement models, as well as for identifying and expanding the company's impact through various educational and experiential initiatives. Key functions include strategic leadership, institutional representation, and the facilitation of innovation, industry, and research partnerships. The role also involves overseeing campus operations, staff leadership, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Candidates for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's or doctoral degree strongly preferred, and a minimum of 10-15 years' of leadership experience in complex, matrixed organizations. Familiarity with the Bay Area or similar innovation-driven urban markets is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic and operational leadership, as well as in establishing and growing partnerships with external stakeholders. Experience in higher education, art and design, technology, healthcare, or similar environments is essential, with a preference for those who have operated within innovation-driven or entrepreneurial ecosystems. The role requires exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate across various levels of the organization and with community stakeholders. Strong judgment, decision-making skills, and the ability to lead through dynamic and evolving environments are also key attributes for the role.
