About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to serve as a strategic and operational leader, ensuring the financial health, sustainability, and compliance of the organization. The CFO will provide vision, leadership, and oversight of all financial functions, acting as a key strategic partner to the CEO, Board of Directors, and Finance Committee. This role is pivotal in maintaining financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective stewardship of both restricted and unrestricted funds, with a focus on supporting long-term organizational sustainability, growth, and mission impact. Candidates for the CFO position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, a minimum of 10 years' progressive leadership experience, and at least 5 years' in nonprofit financial management. Deep expertise in federal and state grant compliance, including specific funding requirements and audit standards, is essential. The ideal candidate will also have a CPA and a Master's degree in a related field, as well as experience with financial management software. The CFO is expected to balance strategic leadership with strong tactical execution, and to be the organization's chief financial spokesperson, representing its financial interests and ensuring that its mission is supported by a solid financial foundation.
