About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to play a pivotal role in its legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the drafting and negotiation of a variety of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, service arrangements, licensing deals, and employment documentation. This role also involves supporting the General Counsel in corporate matters, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, and driving the efficient use of contract management tools. The Senior Commercial Counsel will be a key player in the company's growth, with a focus on updating customer-facing terms, assessing legal and regulatory considerations for new products, and monitoring legislative developments in the financial sector. Applicants for the Senior Commercial Counsel position at the company should hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution and be an active member of at least one U.S. state bar, with a preference for California admission. A minimum of 4 years' of relevant legal experience, including a background in private practice, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in negotiating and drafting technology-related commercial agreements, as well as experience in corporate transactions and digital assets. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive approach to legal and regulatory compliance. The Senior Commercial Counsel will also be involved in corporate initiatives such as capital raising activities and strategic collaborations, and will work closely with external legal advisors on specialized matters, including those related to global expansion.
