The successful candidate will be responsible for leading faculty and staff in delivering the highest quality of care, supporting pediatric residency and academic programs, and ensuring that performance meets the optimal scope of practice. A key aspect of the position is to serve as the voice of children in the region, with a focus on enhancing patient-centered pediatric care and fostering strong community partnerships. Applicants for the Chair position must be committed to the highest quality and safety standards for children's health, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based best practices. The role requires a leader with extensive experience in managing a robust pediatrics department, a collaborative leadership style, and significant expertise in navigating complex hospital environments. Essential qualifications include an M.D., D.O., or equivalent medical degree, board certification in pediatrics, and eligibility for medical licensure in the relevant state. The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record in supporting and promoting research initiatives within the department and must be eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at a recognized medical school.
