About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President and Executive Director for its Electrochemical Safety Research Institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the evolution of the research program, expanding laboratory infrastructure, and enhancing education and outreach initiatives with the goal of achieving a global impact. The institute's mission is to promote the design and deployment of safer energy storage and generation devices, and the role involves fostering in-house scientific research as well as collaborating with leading academic and institutional partners to deliver essential scientific insights for various stakeholders. This is a pivotal role that offers the opportunity to set a growth strategy and significantly expand the institute's mission and programs. The VP will be tasked with identifying research opportunities to address emerging needs and developing unbiased scientific knowledge to advance the safety of energy-related technologies. Building and maintaining a strong network of relationships with government agencies and academic institutions is also a key aspect of the position, with the aim of driving meaningful partnerships and research advancements. The ideal candidate will be at the forefront of safety science research, with a focus on energy storage and generation devices, and will be instrumental in establishing the institute as a pre-eminent institution in this field.
