About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong operational focus, particularly in the areas of payroll tax. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of financial leadership activities, including overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. This role demands a hands-on approach, with direct oversight of payroll tax operations, compliance, and process management. The CFO will also be tasked with maintaining internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, and managing audits, tax filings, and various financial matters. Strategic financial leadership is key, as the CFO will be expected to develop KPIs, advise on financial strategy, and support executive decision-making. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should ideally be CPA certified and have at least 5 years' of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience. A significant background in managing payroll tax operations within a relevant environment is essential, as is a strong understanding of multi-state payroll tax compliance and agency requirements. The role requires a proactive leader with a hands-on mentality, capable of improving workflows, driving operational efficiency, and supporting organizational scaling. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting, and possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. They should be adept at building and managing scalable systems, processes, and controls, and be prepared to lead the resolution of complex payroll tax issues and regulatory matters.
