About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to play a pivotal role in diversifying its revenue and deepening its impact. The successful candidate will be a mission-aligned leader with a strategic and entrepreneurial approach to fundraising. This role is focused on building a relationship-driven development function that supports the organization's growth and sustainability. The VP of Development will be responsible for translating the company's mission into a compelling case for support, designing scalable partnership models, and securing unrestricted funds from a variety of sources, including individual donors, corporate partners, and institutional funders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in development, with at least 10 years' of leadership experience, and the ability to cultivate meaningful, long-term relationships that go beyond transactional interactions. Key responsibilities for the VP of Development include taking an entrepreneurial approach to fundraising, serving as a visible ambassador for the organization, and leading a stewardship program to engage and inform prospective donors. The role requires a candidate with a strong strategic mindset, the ability to think creatively about revenue generation, and a willingness to experiment with new approaches. The ideal candidate will have a background in nonprofit finance, be adept at working with diverse stakeholders, and be comfortable with the hands-on execution of fundraising activities.
