About the Role

The Company is in search of a Director of Sales and Marketing to spearhead the commercial strategy for a unique, purpose-driven hospitality destination. This senior leadership role demands a candidate with a strong background in hospitality sales and marketing, particularly in the context of wellness-adjacent environments or retreat-style destinations. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning and leading all sales and marketing functions, from group sales to transient strategy, and must be adept at developing and executing comprehensive commercial strategies that align with the destination's mission and long-term vision. Key responsibilities include balancing revenue growth with guest experience, cultural integrity, and brand positioning, as well as building and leading a high-performing sales and marketing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years' progressive leadership experience in the field, with a proven track record in group, retreat, and event-driven revenue models. They should be a purpose-driven, values-aligned leader with a strategic yet hands-on approach, capable of mentoring and developing their team with an emphasis on collaboration and accountability. Cross-functional collaboration is essential, as the role involves working closely with executive leadership, operations, guest experience, and programming teams. The Director of Sales and Marketing will also be a cultural steward, ensuring that all marketing efforts reflect the destination's purpose, values, and guest promise, while supporting sustainable growth.
