About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President, Tax to spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive tax strategy. This senior leadership role is pivotal in driving tax planning and structuring across a multifaceted environment, including REIT structures, renewable energy tax credits, and foreign trade zone operations. The successful candidate will be the primary tax advisor to executive leadership, leading all aspects of tax compliance, and ensuring the optimization of tax strategies in alignment with the company's growth and operational objectives. A key focus will be on REIT qualification, testing, and compliance, as well as managing tax considerations for acquisitions, joint ventures, and new development initiatives. Applicants for the VP, Tax position at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' progressive tax experience, with a strong preference for those holding a CPA, JD, or Master's in Taxation. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders, particularly in a high-growth, public company setting. Deep technical expertise in REIT tax, ITCs, and PTCs is essential, as is experience with foreign trade zones. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and executive communication skills, and the ability to build and lead a high-performing tax organization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and managing external advisors and regulatory relationships are also key aspects of the role.
