About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to serve as the primary physician executive leader, fostering a culture of high-quality, compassionate healthcare. The CMO will be the key liaison between the medical staff and hospital administration, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. This role is pivotal in maintaining the quality of medical care, supporting physician leadership, and driving recruitment and retention efforts. The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing medical education programs, partnering with senior administration on clinical mission, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth initiatives. Applicants for the CMO position at the company must have a minimum of 5 years' clinical experience as a licensed physician, with 2 to 3 years' of progressive physician leadership experience. The role requires a graduate of an accredited school of medicine, an active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Illinois, and BLS certification. ACLS certification is preferred. The CMO will be involved in medical staff leadership, physician recruitment and retention, education and training, and the management of the medical staff services department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical staff management, a proven track record in physician leadership, and a commitment to the values of the organization.
