About the Role

The Company is seeking a visionary and collaborative leader to serve as the Dean of the College of Nursing. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading strategic growth in academic and research programs, fostering interprofessional collaboration, and cultivating community partnerships. The Dean will also be a key advocate for addressing the nursing workforce needs in the state. This role involves overseeing the college's teaching, research, and service mission, providing strategic direction, and working to generate new funding to support future growth. The ideal candidate will have a distinguished record in academic leadership, research, teaching, and service, and must be a registered nurse with a terminal graduate degree in nursing, meeting the academic credentials for at least an Associate Professor position. The Dean will be expected to ensure excellence in the instruction of clinical and professional skills, recruit and retain exceptional faculty and scholars, and strengthen partnerships with the university and regional healthcare providers. Executive leadership experience, a proven record of effective leadership, and a strong background in financial management, advocacy, and philanthropic engagement are highly desirable. The role also requires experience in strategic planning, collaborative leadership, and a demonstrated history of securing external funding. The Dean will work closely with health system leadership to advance academic-practice partnerships that enhance clinical education, expand research opportunities, and improve health outcomes across the state.
