About the Role

The Company is in search of a Managing Director to lead and expand its mission in New York City. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a passion for the intersection of Jewish values, young adult engagement, and service. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive program strategy that centers on Jewish service programs, ensuring the infusion of Jewish educational pedagogy, and aligning local program strategies with the organization's mission and values. The role also involves leading local fundraising efforts, cultivating strong relationships with various stakeholder groups, and managing a team to ensure program excellence and sustainable growth. Applicants for the Managing Director position should have a minimum of 8 years' progressive leadership experience, with a proven track record in building Jewish community, program design, supervision, and fundraising. The role requires a leader with outstanding partnership development and community-building skills, as well as a deep knowledge of the New York Jewish community. The ideal candidate will have a strong equity lens, be adept at data-driven decision-making, and possess a service mindset with a commitment to social change. The Managing Director will be expected to manage the organization's budget, oversee operational functions, and build a culture of philanthropy locally. A growth mindset, resilience, and the ability to adapt to change are essential for this role.
