About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief of Infectious Diseases to lead a dynamic and accomplished team of faculty in the Division. The successful candidate will be a physician-leader with a strong background in research, education, and clinical practice, and will play a pivotal role in shaping the Division's future as part of a bold strategic direction. Responsibilities for this leadership position include overseeing the Division's multiple missions - clinical care, research, education, and community engagement - and contributing to the Department's transformation and growth. The ideal candidate will have a national reputation as a clinician, researcher, and leader, with a proven track record in securing research funding and a strong understanding of leading and mentoring a group of researchers. Experience in educating and training future physicians, as well as the ability to lead a large, complex, collaboration-based clinical operation, is essential. Candidates for the Chief of Infectious Diseases position at the company should be accomplished physician scientists with a medical doctorate degree, board certification in infectious diseases, and qualifications for appointment at the Associate Professor level or higher. The role requires prior administrative and leadership experience within a well-reputed academic institution's infectious diseases division. The Chief will be responsible for leading a team of 16 faculty members, supporting a broad range of research activities, and ensuring the Division's clinical services and educational programs are of the highest standard. The position demands a leader with strong business acumen, capable of driving the Division's success in a competitive and evolving healthcare and academic landscape.
