About the Role
The Company is in need of a VP Audit Manager to lead the corporate audit function with a specific focus on credit risk management and enterprise risk management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and leading risk assessments, managing internal audits, and providing support for executive-level reporting, including presentations to the Audit Committee. This role requires a professional with a deep background in internal audit, particularly within regional or large banking institutions, and a strong understanding of the associated risk management practices. Applicants for the VP Audit Manager position at the company should hold a BS or BA degree, with a preference for majors in accounting, business administration, finance, information systems, or economics. A relevant professional certification such as CPA, CIA, or CISA is also required. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a background in internal audit, public accounting, risk management, or regulatory agency work. Supervisory experience is a must, and a strong preference is given to those with a background in large or regional banking. Experience with audit software, data analytics, and IT audit knowledge is also preferred.
