About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP - Enterprise Risk to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of the ERM framework, ensuring it is integrated and responsive to the institution's complexity. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering across departments to identify, assess, and monitor risks in line with enterprise objectives and regulatory conditions. This role also involves collaborating with legal counsel on risk mitigation and prevention, building a robust compliance program, and positioning the compliance function as a strategic business partner. The VP will be expected to promote a culture of shared accountability for risk and compliance, champion open communication, and develop leadership capacity within the risk division. Applicants for the VP - Enterprise Risk position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA preferred, and at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in risk management, compliance, BSA/AML, and/or fraud prevention, particularly within a complex financial institution. Professional certification in relevant competencies is also preferred. The role requires a proven ability to lead strategic initiatives, a deep knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, and a commitment to a high-performance culture. The ideal candidate will be adept at balancing strategic vision with operational execution, utilizing metrics and analytics to inform decisions, and will have a strong focus on innovation, particularly in the use of AI tools for decision-making and process enhancement.
