About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Underwriter - Casualty to join their team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the development and execution of strategic insurance programs, with a focus on supporting the growth of the business. Key responsibilities for this role include preparing reports, presentations, and special projects to ensure the success of the new program onboarding process, as well as maintaining daily oversight and communication for newly onboarded programs. The role also involves a thorough review and analysis of the due diligence process across various facets, including actuarial, underwriting, claims, financials, compliance, operations, legal, and regulatory. The Vice President, Underwriter - Casualty will be expected to conduct research, establish and maintain relationships with prospective program administrators and reinsurance brokers, and monitor the profitability of the programs. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in program underwriting and the insurance industry, with a specific requirement for commercial auto experience. The role demands a professional with proven skills in building market relationships, a Bachelor's degree, and the ability to manage and develop junior underwriters. The ideal candidate will also support the Chief Underwriting Officer in the development and implementation of reinsurance strategies, analyze risk exposure, and collaborate with underwriting and actuarial teams to assess reinsurance coverage. The position requires a proactive individual who can identify growth opportunities, ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, and contribute to the overall success of the underwriting and due diligence process.
