About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to take on a pivotal, hands-on leadership role. The successful candidate will be a trusted strategic partner to ownership and executive leadership, with a focus on the full financial picture, including accounting oversight, banking relationships, cash flow strategy, contracts, risk management, and long-term financial planning. This is not a ceremonial position; the role is set up for a seasoned finance leader who can lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management, and who is comfortable being both strategic and hands-on. While a background in homebuilding, construction, real estate development, or a closely related industry is a plus, it is not a prerequisite. The ideal candidate will have strong banking, balance sheet, and cash flow expertise, and a CPA is strongly preferred. The role is particularly suited to a finance leader who values judgment over flash, and relationships over titles, and who is looking to make a lasting impact within a well-run, stable organization. The Vice President of Finance will be responsible for mentoring an internal team, owning banking and lender relationships, and driving risk management, compliance, and financial discipline across multiple entities. The position offers the opportunity to shape the future of the company, with meaningful influence and without the constraints of corporate bureaucracy. The current VP of Finance will be actively engaged for a year to ensure a seamless transition, and the company is committed to setting the new VP of Finance up for success.
