About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Commercial Lender to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding business banking relationships in the local area. This role is pivotal in overseeing an existing commercial loan portfolio, assisting local businesses in securing financing that aligns with their objectives, and ensuring a balance between sound credit judgment and the long-term health of the portfolio. The VP, Commercial Lender will also be instrumental in expanding the company's market presence, guiding client strategy, and contributing to the growth of the commercial banking team. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial lending, portfolio management, or a related business banking role. The role requires a strong knowledge of commercial credit analysis, financial statements, loan underwriting, and deal structuring, as well as a demonstrated ability to develop business relationships and generate new commercial banking opportunities. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing commercial loan portfolios, a solid understanding of commercial banking products, market dynamics, and regulatory expectations, and strong communication and relationship-building skills. Previous lending experience within a community bank or similar financial institution is preferred.
