About the Role

The Company is in search of an Assistant Dean of Advancement to serve as the chief advancement officer for the College of Business. This role is pivotal in providing strategic vision, leadership, and execution for the College's integrated advancement enterprise, which encompasses development, alumni engagement, and advancement communications. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Dean's cabinet, working closely with College leadership to translate academic and institutional priorities into compelling advancement strategies. Responsibilities include personally managing a selective portfolio of major and principal gift prospects, strengthening cultivation and stewardship strategies, advancing corporate and industry engagement, and fostering meaningful connections with alumni and volunteer leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in advancing philanthropic support within a complex organization, with a focus on academic excellence and institutional priorities. They should be a compelling communicator, an effective partner to senior academic leadership, and a visible ambassador for the College among various stakeholders. The role requires a leader who is motivated by the opportunity to lead, grow, and further strengthen a high-performing advancement program. The Assistant Dean of Advancement will play a critical role in shaping the College's philanthropic impact and national visibility, particularly in the context of the strategic plan that is driving the College's current momentum and growth.
