About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief for its Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Nutrition. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong vision for growth, impact, and innovation in patient care, research, and education. This role requires a collaborative individual who can enhance the division's external visibility, foster interdisciplinary partnerships, and expand programs to improve health outcomes. The Chief will be responsible for leading a dynamic and rapidly growing academic division, with a long-standing mission to provide premier clinical services, advance research, and educate the next generation of clinicians and scientists. Candidates for the Chief position must have an MD (or MD/PhD) with ABIM board certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, and a national distinction as an accomplished physician-scientist. Essential qualifications include an established record of clinical excellence, research leadership, and academic achievement, as well as a well-funded research program. The ideal candidate will have a recognized national or international reputation in relevant research areas and proven leadership experience in an academic medical setting. A compelling vision for integrating clinical care, research, and education in innovative ways is preferred, along with experience in leading complex multidisciplinary programs or academic divisions. The Chief will be expected to have a strong focus on mentorship and faculty development, and to be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Maryland.
