About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Development to be a transformative leader in designing, executing, and scaling the organization's fundraising strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth across individual, institutional, and corporate giving, with a focus on raising $20M annually. This role requires a minimum of 10 years' experience in fundraising or revenue-generating leadership, a proven track record of raising significant funds, and the ability to personally close six- and seven-figure gifts. The VP will also be tasked with expanding and diversifying the fundraising pipeline, fostering a culture of philanthropy, and empowering the development team to lead with creativity and innovation. Key responsibilities for the Vice President, Development include organizational leadership, revenue growth, and team leadership. The role demands a strategic leader who can set and deliver on ambitious revenue goals, evaluate the ROI of fundraising activities, and ensure that resources are directed toward high-yield strategies. The VP will also be expected to lead, mentor, and inspire the development team, fostering a culture of creativity, resilience, and accountability. Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, pipeline development, and cross-functional collaboration are essential, as is a deep commitment to equity and social justice. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, be resilient, and demonstrate ingenuity in overcoming obstacles to deliver results in dynamic, resource-conscious environments.
