About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Estimating to take on a senior leadership role within the organization. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading and managing the estimating department, with a specific focus on heavy civil and marine construction projects. This pivotal position involves overseeing all aspects of cost estimating for complex marine infrastructure, including the development and management of the estimating process, and ensuring that all bids are accurate, competitive, and in line with project specifications, budgets, and timelines. The VP of Estimating will also be responsible for mentoring the estimating team, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, and continuously improving estimating processes. Applicants for the VP of Estimating role at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' experience in estimating, with a strong background in heavy civil and/or marine construction. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. The role requires a candidate with extensive experience in estimating for marine construction, particularly in projects such as dock construction, dredging, and other marine infrastructure. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple bids and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite is also necessary. The role involves collaboration with senior management and may require travel to project sites.
