About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to serve as the public face and principal spokesperson, with a focus on advancing the organization's reputation, relevance, and public impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for authentically representing the mission, content, and values of the museum to various stakeholders, including the intelligence community, policymakers, donors, media, and the general public. This role is highly visible and centers on public engagement, content leadership, and relationship-building. The Executive Director will also be involved in donor cultivation and stewardship, leading high-profile museum tours, and responding to global events with educational and historical context. A distinguished career in the intelligence, military intelligence, national security, defense, or related policy community is required, with a strong preference for candidates with a background that confers national or international credibility. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a clear alignment with its mission and values, as well as a demonstrated ability to inspire curiosity and critical thinking, particularly among young audiences. The role demands exceptional communication and storytelling skills, the ability to engage with current global events in a nonpartisan and educational manner, and a commitment to ethical leadership.
