About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Market Risk, with a focus on Spread Products. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight of market risk in this area, which includes working closely with trading desks to ensure compliance with risk frameworks and limits. Key tasks for this role involve understanding and explaining changes in various risk metrics, conducting trade reviews, risk assessments, and pre-approvals, as well as analyzing market conditions, trading patterns, and exposure trends. The role also requires collaboration with different functions to deploy new products, review policies and methodologies, and enhance reporting, models, and risk analytics. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in market risk management, with direct experience in spread products market risk. A Master's degree in a quantitative field is preferred. The role demands strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain and develop robust controls around risk exposures. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a self-learner, and capable of developing creative solutions to new problems. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a trading desk environment is essential. Responsibilities also include producing market commentaries and analysis for senior management, regulators, and auditors, and working on projects to ensure market risk systems are improved to support new products.
