About the Role

The Company is seeking an inaugural Chief Pharmacy Officer (CPO) to lead and oversee pharmacy services across its newly formed, enterprise-wide system. The CPO will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the regulations and licensing authorities of various pharmacy settings, including hospitals, retail, specialty, clinics, and infusion sites. This role is pivotal in guiding the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the pharmacy enterprise, with a focus on positioning pharmacy as a key driver of system growth, access, and innovation. The successful candidate will also be tasked with expanding pharmacy services beyond the traditional inpatient model to create a fully integrated network that includes ambulatory, retail, and payer-aligned services. Candidates for the CPO position at the company should have a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree and be a licensed pharmacist. A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior pharmacy leadership role, preferably in a multi-site or integrated healthcare system, is required. The role demands a visionary leader with a proven track record in strategic planning, operational management, and financial acumen within the pharmacy sector. Experience in 340B programs and a strong understanding of the evolving healthcare landscape, including value-based care and population health, are essential. The CPO will also be responsible for the professional development of the pharmacy staff, so experience in leading and mentoring a large team is highly valued.
