About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration to be its principal financial leader and a key partner in strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for modernizing financial systems, strengthening reporting and forecasting, and building the necessary infrastructure to support the organization's growth. This role is pivotal in translating mission priorities into financial plans, ensuring the leadership and Board have the information needed for decision-making, and maintaining a proactive, transparent, and essential finance function. The SVP will also be deeply involved in day-to-day operations, overseeing accounting, budgeting, grant compliance, HR, IT, and administrative functions, and will be expected to lead a small but critical finance and administrative team. Applicants for the Senior Vice President position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of senior financial and administrative leadership experience, with a strong background in nonprofit finance, including grants management and multi-fund accounting. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in building or modernizing financial systems, experience in strategic and hands-on partnership with executive leadership and Boards, and a working knowledge of HR, compliance, and organizational operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and proactive thinker, a hands-on builder, and operationally rigorous, with strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, with a CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred. The SVP should be a change leader with high integrity, accountability, and the ability to adapt and be agile in a dynamic environment.
