About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its association, which serves a diverse membership in the nonwovens and engineered fabrics industry. The successful candidate will be the chief staff executive, responsible for strategic leadership, operational management, and fostering member engagement and growth. This role requires a dynamic, mission-driven individual with a proven track record in senior leadership, particularly within a trade association or membership-based organization. The Executive Director will be expected to develop and execute strategies that align with the global vision of the organization, respond to regional industry trends, and build strong relationships with members and external stakeholders. Operational management includes overseeing the annual budget, ensuring legal and ethical compliance, and managing day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the North American business landscape, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and a collaborative leadership style. Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree in a related field preferred, and a background in strategic planning, membership development, and financial analysis. Experience in the nonwovens, technical textiles, or related manufacturing supply chain is a plus. The role demands a leader who is politically savvy, committed to industry advancement, and capable of leading with influence, collaboration, and transparency. Success in the role will be measured by the stability and engagement of the staff, the perceived value to members, and the financial sustainability of the organization. The Executive Director will also be expected to establish a constructive partnership with the global alliance and contribute to the coordinated positioning on key regulatory and market issues.
