About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, General Partnerships Accounting to join their dynamic and growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the monthly and quarterly close for General Partner entities, including all related journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. This role involves the preparation and review of GP profit and loss statements, partner capital accounts, and allocation schedules, as well as the calculation and monitoring of carried interest, vesting, and other GP-level economics. The VP will also lead the preparation of GP financial statements and support audits and tax reporting, while actively identifying and implementing process improvements and system enhancements for GP accounting and reporting. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA preferred, and at least 10 years of accounting experience, specifically in partnership and GP accounting within alternatives. A strong background in private equity, private credit, insurance/reinsurance, or complex partnership structures is essential, as is a deep understanding of US GAAP, partnership accounting, allocations, and GP economics. The role requires advanced Excel and accounting/reporting system skills, with experience in Allvue being a plus. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities, while also possessing excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders.
