About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the establishment of a nonprofit training organization dedicated to addressing critical workforce skill gaps in the advanced manufacturing and construction industries. The CEO will be responsible for building the organization from the ground up, developing and implementing programs, and ensuring that the mission of providing demand-driven, high-quality training with a focus on equity is realized. This role involves strategic and operational leadership, community engagement, and the development of partnerships to meet the needs of local employers and historically underserved communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workforce training program development, exceptional leadership and strategic planning skills, and a proven track record in fundraising and financial management. Candidates for the CEO position should have at least 10 years of experience in ecosystem, program, and staff development, with a preference for those who have a background in starting up a department or organization. Essential qualities include a deep understanding of workforce training and educational opportunity programs, a vision for the potential of the $100 million investment in the region, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The CEO will also be expected to have strong interpersonal skills, social and emotional intelligence, and the ability to balance the demands of various stakeholders. A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
