About the Role

The Company is in search of a new Executive Director to lead its next chapter. The ideal candidate will be a liberation-minded leader, capable of guiding the organization through a significant leadership transition. The Executive Director will be responsible for upholding the institution's legacy of fighting alongside social justice movements, with a focus on strategic litigation, advocacy, and narrative shifting to dismantle systems of oppression. This role demands a visionary individual with the courage and strategic wisdom to be at the forefront of the movement, and who is committed to the principles of radical politics and movement accountability. While a J.D. and prior litigation experience are strongly preferred, they are not required. The successful candidate will be invited to bring their own vision and lead the next phase of the organization's growth. The Executive Director will inherit a strong and principled institution, and will be expected to honor its history while also sharpening organizational systems for the future. The role is not for the faint of heart; it requires a leader who is unafraid to challenge power and who is prepared to take on the responsibilities of a national and international advocacy organization.
