About the Role

The Company is in need of a VP of Accounting to play a pivotal role in leading its financial operations during a phase of strategic expansion. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and delivery of complex financial statements for a multi-entity structure, ensuring 100% compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations in all external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting. This role demands a professional with a strong background in capital management, including managing reporting requirements for various stakeholders and supporting due diligence for acquisitions and financing. The VP of Accounting will also be tasked with building and maintaining a robust control environment, leading and mentoring the accounting team, and driving infrastructure optimization and process improvement to support the company's growth and new entity integrations. Applicants for the VP of Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 7 years' of progressive experience, with a proven track record in a similar leadership role. The role requires a candidate with a rare blend of technical GAAP mastery and executive presence, capable of managing lender and investor relationships. Key skills include expertise in financial reporting, risk and compliance, and a deep understanding of accounting operations and systems scaling. The ideal candidate will be adept at overseeing all accounting functions, from accounts payable and receivable to cost accounting, and will have experience in year-end close, partnership accounting, property accounting, investment accounting, and payroll accounting. The ability to lead a team, establish clear KPIs, and drive process improvements is essential.
