About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of People and Culture to take on a multifaceted role that goes beyond traditional HR responsibilities. The successful candidate will be a true HR leader, with a focus on building, influencing, and scaling the people and culture function. This includes being a trusted advisor to executive leadership on all matters related to people, culture, and organizational strategy. The role demands a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of overseeing talent strategy, workforce planning, and retention initiatives. The VP will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with employment laws, driving performance management, and leading the optimization of HR systems and processes. Candidates for this role at The Company should have 8-10+ years' of experience in HR, with a proven track record in leadership and scaling, particularly in fast-paced and complex environments. A background in real estate, mortgage, banking, lending, or similar industries is essential. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of multi-state compliance, experience in building or improving people operations, and the ability to influence executives effectively. Bonus points for those with PHR/SPHR or equivalent certifications, experience in high-growth environments, and a talent for explaining complex policies in a clear and relatable manner. The role is suited to individuals who thrive on building and are adept at navigating the challenges of a dynamic, evolving company.
