About the Role

The Company is in search of a Senior Counsel to take the helm of its global legal function. This executive-facing role is pivotal in leading and evolving the legal team, managing both in-house and outside counsel, and developing legal processes to support the organization's growth. The successful candidate will be a key partner to the sales, procurement, and business teams, with a primary focus on negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements, including those with public and quasi-governmental entities. Additionally, the role involves significant responsibilities in M&A, from supporting bolt-on acquisitions to divestitures, and requires a strong background in legal diligence, data management, and transaction readiness. Applicants for the Senior Counsel position at the company should hold a JD with active state bar membership and have a minimum of 6 years' legal experience, with a preference for those who have a background in both big law and in-house legal practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in commercial contracting, particularly in industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, or aviation-adjacent industries, and meaningful exposure to M&A activities. A practical, business-oriented mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and drive results in a fast-paced environment are essential. The role also involves advising on a range of legal matters, including employment, corporate governance, IP, regulatory compliance, and litigation management, and requires the ability to partner effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on a global scale.
