About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Legal Officer (CLO) to serve as its principal legal advisor and a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. The CLO will be responsible for providing sound legal counsel and recommendations to the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership, ensuring the organization's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and supporting timely business decisions. This executive leadership position involves overseeing a wide range of legal matters, including healthcare regulatory compliance, governance, contracts, employment law, privacy, and litigation management. The successful candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree, a minimum of 10 years of experience as in-house counsel, and a thorough understanding of legal, regulatory, compliance, risk, and employment issues in the healthcare sector. Applicants for the CLO position at the company must possess exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with all levels of the organization. The role requires the ability to influence results, manage complex relationships, and demonstrate exceptional communication, persuasion, consulting, team building, and negotiation skills. A Juris Doctor degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience as in-house counsel, with a focus on healthcare or a related field, are essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal, regulatory, compliance, risk, and employment matters, particularly as they pertain to the healthcare industry. Admission to the New York Bar or eligibility for admission is also a key requirement for this position.
