About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Engineering and Energy. The successful candidate will be responsible for the visionary and strategic development of energy services and programs, with a focus on energy management and engineering services for a large campus. This role involves master planning, conservation efforts, managing renewable energy portfolios, and strategic procurement of energy. The Assistant Vice President will also lead the engineering and commissioning groups, ensure compliance with regulatory programs, and establish and implement organizational goals and procedures. Proactive engagement with the utility users' group, oversight of energy efficiency projects, and management of utility vendor relationships are key aspects of the position. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree or advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in a related field, including at least 7 years in environmental or sustainability experience, is required. The role demands a candidate with a strong background in energy, water, and waste conservation in buildings, as well as experience in managing the operation and maintenance of central utility plants. Supervisory experience, a Certified Energy Manager or Certified Energy Procurement Professional certification, and a proven track record of effective leadership within a complex organization are also essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with diverse staff, and a flexible, problem-solving approach to leadership.
