About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Leveraged Finance Credit Risk. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently assessing credit risk associated with leveraged loans, revolvers, and related structures in both new and amended transactions. This role involves leading in-depth financial analysis, including cash flow modeling, and evaluating leverage and coverage metrics, liquidity, and downside scenarios. The VP will also review sponsor dynamics, capital structures, intercreditor arrangements, and legal documentation, and will be expected to prepare and present credit memos and risk recommendations to senior risk committees. Applicants should have 6-10+ years of experience in leveraged finance credit risk, credit underwriting, or similar roles, with a strong understanding of leveraged lending structures, documentation, and sponsor-backed transactions. Advanced skills in financial statement analysis and cash flow modeling are essential, as is a proven ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure. The role requires a confident communicator who is detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and capable of operating independently. A Bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree is a plus. The VP will also be expected to mentor and review the work of junior team members, and to support internal reviews, stress testing, and portfolio-level analysis.
