About the Role
The Company is in search of a strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its finance team during a significant period of growth and integration. The CFO will be the key financial leader, overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, grants management, audits, purchasing, and procurement. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organization's financial health, with responsibilities that range from timely financial closes and on-time audits to building a proactive financial rhythm. The successful candidate will also be tasked with translating financial complexity into clear decisions and will work closely with the executive team and the Board of Directors. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA or Master’s degree being a plus. A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive nonprofit finance leadership experience, particularly in organizations with complex funding structures, is required. The role demands deep accounting expertise, including grant management, mastery of audit and tax matters, and proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and financial modeling. The CFO will be expected to have a proven track record in managing financial operations, leading a team, and ensuring compliance with financial and administrative policies. Strong analytical skills, the ability to communicate financial information effectively, and a commitment to maintaining cultural awareness and sensitivity are essential.
