About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Ag/Commercial Loan Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, confirming credit worthiness, and improving the loan application process by communicating additional requirements to applicants. This role also involves the rejection of loans with clear explanations of deficiencies, as well as the approval of loans and assisting customers with their inquiries. The ideal candidate for this position is expected to have a strong entrepreneurial mindset, be part of a growing institution, and have the potential to take over and expand an established portfolio. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years experience as an Ag or Commercial Loan Officer, with a proven track record in credit and business development. Leadership aspirations, strong credit experience, and a team-first mentality are essential. The role requires the ability to expand loans, client relationships, and cross-sell bank products, as well as familiarity with the sales, commercial loan processing, and closing processes. A working knowledge of the agricultural industry is also necessary. The candidate should be able to multitask effectively, have good communication skills, and be loyal and hard-working.
