Marketing & Communication Intern

Position Overview

The Marketing & Communications Intern supports Grow Through Life Counseling's marketing, outreach, and referral development efforts. This role combines social media management, community engagement, referral partner communication, marketing analytics, and administrative support to help increase visibility, strengthen referral relationships, and support practice growth across multiple office locations.

Primary Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Support

• Schedule social media content across platforms

• Create and publish Instagram Stories

• Assist with content creation, graphics, and marketing materials in Canva

• Monitor engagement and support community interaction online

• Participate in relevant Facebook groups and online community outreach

Referral Partner Outreach

• Review weekly intake reports and identify referral sources

• Contact referral partners to thank them for referrals and maintain relationships

• Update referral partner databases and outreach trackers

• Assist with referral page and resource directory updates

Marketing Analytics & Audits

• Complete weekly marketing audits and performance tracking

• Compile social media and outreach metrics

• Identify trends and opportunities for increased engagement and referral growth

• Conduct monthly Psychology Today profile audits and updates

Administrative & Marketing Support

• Update internal employee portal resources and marketing materials

• Maintain drop-off tracking and outreach records

• Assist with event preparation and community outreach initiatives

• Support special projects, graphic design requests, newsletters, and promotional campaigns

• Attend networking events, Lunch & Learns, and community events as schedule permits

Preferred Qualifications

• Current college student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Business, or related field

• Strong written communication skills

• Experience with Canva or similar design software

• Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and social media scheduling platforms

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects

• Interest in healthcare, mental health, or community outreach preferred
