DENTAL ASSISTANT - FULL-TIME POSITION - GLENDALE, ARIZONA

Job Summary:

As a Dental Assistant at Modern Family Dentistry - Glendale, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth operation of the practice. You will support the dentist through a variety of duties, focus on patient care, and help maintain a clean and safe environment. Your daily responsibilities will ensure that patients receive a comfortable and effective service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Set up and break down operatory post-treatment.
• Take dental radiographs (x-rays) and Digital Scanner
• Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling).
• Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., toothbrushing, flossing and nutritional counseling).
• Take impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth).
• Help to provide direct patient care in all dental aspects

Requirements:

• 2 years + of Dental Assisting experience - required
• AZ Radiology Certification - required 
• CPR Certification - required
• Dentrix software - preferred
• Excellent understanding of dental procedures.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Well-organized and reliable.
• Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g., EFDA).
