International Vehicle Export Coordinator
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Chinese Translator to join our multilingual team. In this role, you will serve as a bridge between cultures by providing precise translation, interpretation, and transcription services. In addition to linguistic responsibilities, this position will support international vehicle transactions and export operations, requiring familiarity with cross-border processes and client negotiations. Your expertise will ensure clear, accurate communication across languages while supporting global initiatives and fostering understanding in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Translate written documents from Chinese to English and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance
Interpret spoken language during meetings, conferences, and live events to facilitate seamless communication
Proofread and edit translated materials to maintain high-quality standards and consistency
Transcribe audio or video recordings in Chinese or English with strong attention to detail
Support international vehicle transactions by assisting with communication between parties during negotiations
Assist with coordination and communication related to vehicle export processes and documentation
Provide cultural insights to enhance translation quality and improve cross-border business interactions
Collaborate with teams across departments to deliver timely and accurate language support
Maintain organized records of translation, interpretation, and transaction-related communications
Qualifications
Multilingual proficiency with fluent command of both Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English
Proven experience in translation, interpretation, or transcription within a professional setting
Knowledge of foreign export laws and regulations, particularly related to international vehicle exports
Experience assisting with or participating in vehicle negotiations and transactions
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey nuanced meanings accurately
Excellent proofreading and editing abilities to ensure high-quality, error-free content
Background in linguistics or a related field is preferred; prior linguist experience is a plus
Demonstrated writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences
Certification or formal training in translation or interpretation is highly encouraged
