Our unit is an intermediate unit that is a step down from our intensive care but a step above med/surg as far as patient acuity</p><p></p><p>Cardiac, Respiratory distress, Septic.</p><p>No vents. - Mainly serve cardiac patients, also acute respiratory (no vents/but high flow ) 02 needs/new bipap, etc. then mix of any other disease process in which the physicians determine patient is too sick for floor; but not yet ICU level of care.</p><p></p><p>Fast paced unit combining aspects of ED and ICU into one department--busyness of ED & critical care aspect of ICU.</p><p>Requires and builds strong assessment skills and teamwork</p><p></p><p><u>Qualifications:</u></p><p><b>Education:</b> Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).</p><p><b>Licensure:</b> Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.</p><p><b>Certifications:</b></p><p>- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.</p><p></p><h1><span style="color:#537824"><b>Why Mercy?</b></span></h1><p></p><p>From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.</p><p></p><p>Join a caring, collaborative team where your voice matters.
