Weld Engineer

Hiring: Weld Engineer Location: New Haven, CT Salary: $80,000+/yr Schedule: Full-time Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Weld Engineer to develop welding processes, improve fabrication methods, and support production through technical expertise in welding engineering and materials. This role plays a key part in ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency across welding operations and manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement welding techniques, procedures, and standards Establish welding specifications including material processes and heat requirements Design and create welding fixtures for production Evaluate new welding technologies and apply improvements to current processes Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with welding standards and codes Support testing, certification, and quality validation of welds Collaborate with supply chain on welding consumables and outsourced components Assist with fabrication, welding, and assembly to meet product specifications Support continuous improvement of welding methods and production processes Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering, or related field OR 10+ years of welding experience Level II Visual Weld Inspector certification required 2 4 years of hands-on welding experience, including stainless steel Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and fabrication methods Experience with ISO 9000 or similar quality systems Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D, and 3D modeling Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Minimal travel required
