Responsible for forecasting revenue and capacity to analyzing and optimizing the needs and deployment of strategic assets, analyzing airline alliances, solving complex revenue and loyalty analysis projects, and working on a variety of initiatives that support our commercial organization while constantly pushing forward and executing our company’s commercial strategy; Develop and monitor the effectiveness of revenue strategies and initiatives including pricing, yield, network planning, sales, finance, AAdvantage, and marketing actions; Foster relationships and lead discussions with stakeholders across the company that are focused on driving long-term value to American Airlines (including Sales and Revenue Management organizations, Customer Insights & Loyalty, Network Planning, joint business partner airlines, and operations groups); Analyze the performance of existing partnerships, evaluate new partnerships and craft creative solutions that drive continuous improvement from American Airlines’ inorganic network; Utilize statistical analysis, predictive modeling or other analytical methods to analyze data and develop practical solutions to business problems; Present analyses, strategies and results to all levels of the organization; Ensure that the entire Strategic Planning & Analysis organization has the appropriate level of tool knowledge and that we are prepared for the future; Ensure alignment around commercial strategies, key objectives and success metrics, maintaining clear communication across teams, and ensuring cross-functional actions are completed; Tailor communication of complex ideas to all types of audiences; Perform validation of models to ensure adequacy, define data requirements, and gather and validate information, applying judgement and statistical tests; Develop performance measurements and analytical tools to improve profitability and planning and forecasting processes; Forecast revenue and capacity to analyze and optimize the needs and deployment of strategic assets; Analyze airline alliances, solve complex revenue and loyalty analysis projects, and support AA’s commercial organization while constantly pushing forward and executing our company’s commercial strategy; Develop reports and proposals, including market assessments, business plans, financial performance plans, network profitability plans, fleet plans, and capital expenditure requests; Analyze data derived from various areas, such as booking activity, fleet analyses, market trends, ROI analyses, performance and budget analyses, profitability statistics, previous campaign results, site statistics, marketing efforts, revenue management, and pricing trends in order to devise strategies to increase revenue and profitability. Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F. Job Location: Fort Worth, TX 3 years of experience as Analyst, Commodity Manager, or any occupation in which the required experience was gained, plus demonstrated experience in: Excel; Tableau; SQL; Forecasting; Data Analysis; Financial analysis; ROI and budget analysis; Statistics; Profitability analysis; Validation of models; Performance analysis; Predictive modeling. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, or related field.
