We are adding a Full Time Oncology Clinic RN to our team at Barry Road

Monday - Friday 8am- 430pm - No Nights or Weekends

This position can float to our Overland Park, Plaza and Lee's Summit locations

Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City is hiring for an Oncology Clinic Nurse for their outpatient Oncology and Hematology Clinic. This position is part of a rapidly growing program and will assist with care coordination, research studies, provide patient and family education, scheduling, triage, assist with procedures, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary innovative care team committed to improving patient outcomes. This is a high volume fast-paced Magnet designated clinic. This clinic is INCP and QOPI Certified.

Responsibilities:
  • Phone Triage
  • Schedules emergent-need appointments.
  • Patient follow-up calls.
  • Patient education on particular procedures and processes.
  • Subject matter expert in respective specialty for hospital RNs in the units.
  • Regularly meets with other disciplines to share best practices on care treatments.
  • Care for patients with a long-term treatment process.
  • Collaborate on a care team and provide face-to-face patient care
  • Maintain ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
