Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Join our team as a traveling Physical Therapist in Tucson, AZ at a hospital setting where you will evaluate patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe and timely discharge. This role emphasizes patient and employee safety, professional conduct, documentation accuracy, and participation in performance improvement and student education.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Arizona state physical therapy license required to start assignment.
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience in acute care hospital or similar inpatient hospital environment preferred.
- Demonstrated competency in comprehensive patient evaluation, development of functional treatment plans, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to complete timely, accurate documentation including evaluations, daily notes, goals, discharge summaries, and letters of medical necessity.
- Familiarity with safe patient handling practices and infection control procedures.
- Commitment to compliance with state Practice Act, facility policies, and professional codes of conduct.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with student supervision and participation in clinical education.
- Previous work in performance improvement initiatives or quality programs.
- Experience ordering and trialing durable medical equipment in the hospital setting.
Assignment Details
- Part-time, approximately 8–24 hours per week.
- Schedule: 2 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift.
