Computed Tomography Technologist – Travel Job
Become a vital part of our team as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist in Reno, NV. You will produce diagnostic CT scans, assist the radiologist in CT procedures, administer IV contrast under direction, operate CT scanning and contrast-injecting equipment, and ensure patient care across a range of ages and clinical conditions. This role supports throughput for ER, inpatient, and outpatient populations and requires coordination with the CT department to maintain quality and workflow.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. AART (CT) preferred.
- State of Nevada license for Medical Radiography.
- Minimum two years of clinical CT experience. Experience in trauma required.
- Experience working in travel or contract assignments preferred.
- Current AHA BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
- Proficiency operating CT scanners and contrast injector systems and competence with hospital/departmental computer systems.
- Ability to administer IV contrast under radiologist direction and perform age-appropriate patient assessment and care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with advanced imaging for stroke and trauma protocols.
- Previous experience coordinating CT department workflow and quality control monitoring.
Assignment Details
- Shift schedule includes 4x10s with varied shifts; Weds–Sat mentioned in client notes.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 40.
- No call requirement.
- Travelers may be required to float to meet organizational needs up to their competency level.
- May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the scheduling period.
