Mammography Tech – Travel Job
Join our team as an experienced Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in Reno, NV. In this role you will perform specialized breast imaging examinations to assist in diagnosis and treatment of breast disease and support radiologists and referring physicians. The position requires technical skill with mammography equipment, patient-centered care for adult and geriatric populations, and the ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced hospital environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Mammography (M) certification required.
- Active Nevada state radiologic technologist license required prior to start date.
- Minimum 2 years of mammography technologist experience required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Ability to operate mammography units and department computer systems.
- Ability to provide care appropriate to adult and geriatric patients and meet department competency standards.
- Travelers may be required to float within the organization up to their competency level.
- Willingness to work scheduled weekends, holidays, and occasional call shifts as needed by the department.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a high-volume hospital or trauma center preferred.
- Prior experience assisting radiologists with diagnostic mammographic procedures preferred.
Assignment Details
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 40.
- Call requirements: No call (note: schedule can include some call shifts per department needs).
- Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends and holidays.
- Travelers may be required to float to other facilities as needed within competency.
- May be required to work 2 or 3 major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period.
